Our History
Daima Associates Limited (Daima) is a consulting firm that specializes in monitoring, evaluation, research & learning (MERL), and business development services (BDS) mentorship. Registered in Kenya as a limited liability consulting company in 2021, Daima initially started its operations in 2019 under the business name Melzar Associates to work with development organizations to ensure sustainable and impactful use of data and reporting; and with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to improve their systems for sustainable and profitable operations. We are a team of experts with combined experience of more than 20 years working in the public, development, and corporate sectors.

Opportunity
Most small and growing business in Africa lack adequate operational systems leading to unsustainable businesses with low operational efficiencies. With a fast-growing population and with markets presenting important opportunities for business, many new businesses are finding it tough to cope in an environment of slowing global growth. At the same time, development programming has concentrated on economic focus to poverty reduction with the need for investments in local businesses growing to create more jobs in the market.
